Rainline
AI-Native Operations for Hardscape & Turf
"The bottleneck isn't finding the work. It's everything that happens between the call and the cheque."
Overview
Rainline is the trade-facing brand of a vertical AI platform built for hardscape, turf, and landscape contractors. The thesis is simple: most contractors don't need another lead generator. They need their back office to stop being the bottleneck. Rainline collapses quoting, dispatch, customer communication, and fleet visibility into a single operator-facing app — phone-first, plain-language, designed for the way crews actually work.
On top of operations sits an AI hardscape rendering tool: customers see a photo-real preview of their patio, retaining wall, or turf install before the first machine touches dirt. The same engine drives quoting accuracy on the back end. Crews stay focused on the install; the system handles the paperwork.
The first deployment is a multi-million-dollar Oregon landscape company. The build is structured so the platform generalises across trades — every workflow we ship is one the next vertical will inherit.
Key Features
Phone-First Operator App
A back-office app built for the crew lead in the truck, not the operator behind a desk. Plain-language, glanceable, designed for one-handed use between job sites.
AI Hardscape Rendering
Photo-real previews of patios, walls, and turf installs generated from a single yard photo. Closes the imagination gap that loses deals at the dining-room table.
Quote-to-Cash Flow
Estimate, contract, deposit, scheduling, invoice. All linked, all driven from the same job record. No re-entry, no spreadsheets, no missed step.
Fleet Visibility
GPS on the trucks, not the crew phones. Bouncie at launch, Samsara at scale. Worker dignity by design — no surveillance UI on the crew app.
Customer Comms Engine
Automated job updates, ETA texts, completion photos, and follow-up. The contractor looks responsive without anyone having to draft a single message.
Vertical Generalisation
Every workflow shipped for landscape is structured to port to the next trade — roofing, paving, electrical. The platform learns the vertical, not the customer.
Architecture
1Operator App (Rowe)
Phone-first React Native app for crew leads and owners. Plain language, no jargon, no AI vocabulary. The agents are invisible — the outcomes are not.
2Customer Portal
Web-facing portal where customers see their job, approve quotes, view renderings, pay deposits, and get live updates. Branded per contractor.
3AI Rendering Pipeline
Photo-in, render-out. Trained on hardscape design patterns and constrained to realistic material catalogs so quotes stay accurate to what was sold.
4Fleet & Field Layer
Truck-level GPS (Bouncie → Samsara), job geofencing, and time-on-site rollups feeding back into payroll and customer-facing ETA logic.
